Pastors Wendell "Skip" & Diane Wright
Pastors Skip and Diane Wright are the co-founders of Kapena Wright Ministries (KWM), which after much prayer and following the lead of the Holy Spirit began the ministry in 1998. Our ministry headquarters is currently located in Washington state. Both Pastor Skip and Pastor Diane have been active in various ministries from the day the Lord divinely brought them together at First Assembly of God Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, where they fell in love and were soon married at the church surrounded by ‘Ohana O Ke Akua (Family of God) and ‘Ohana (Family).
Pastor Skip was ordained as a Pastor in Honolulu, HI, 1988. Pastor Diane was officially ordained as a Pastor with KWM, 2022, though she has served alongside of her husband in various ministry capacities for over 40 years, some of which included their service with the churches they've attended as well as being part of the CBN/The 700 Club Administration/Ministry team in Washington as well as Skip serving in the Honolulu office. We glory in all that God has brought us through and how he has worked out His Word in us, with us, and through us in all things.
Being a Professional Actor and Writer, Pastor Skip linked with and was later commissioned as one of the original Chaplains of Media Fellowship International (MFI) in 2010 – a ministry which reaches out to those involved in entertainment; movies; television; radio . Prior to his becoming an ordained and licensed minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Skip had served his nation as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, then served his home community as a Police Officer with the Honolulu Police Department.
Here at KWM, we will neither relent nor back down from the preaching, teaching, and operating in the Word of God, invoking, and involving the Authority given by Jesus Christ (Luke 10:19), calling on and following the lead of Holy Spirit – to ACCOMPLISH ALL THAT GOD HAS CALLED US TO – GIVING HIM ALL PRAISE, HONOR, AND GLORY – IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME! AMEN & SHALOM!
