Kapena Wright Ministries was founded by Pastors Skip and Diane Wright in November, 1988, following a ministry outreach trip, following the lead of the Holy Spirit on both of their hearts. Skip and Diane, have been actively involved in ministry in service to the LORD since they'd first met in Skips' home state of Hawaii.
Right from the start, their dream was to reach people with the message of Gods love in Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit providing the direction, wisdom, instruction and provision as they were lead. Both Skip and Diane have been involved in a myriad of ministry outreaches serving in various capacities which have included, but were not limited to: Youth Leadership, Mentorship, Teaching, and Pastoring; as well as being very involved in the music departments of every church they had ever attended; Diane being an excellent singer, and Skip being a singer/musician/songwriter/minister.
Diane has been a part of church administration for many years while Skip put his administrative and public speaking skills which he'd acquired from service in the US Air Force to good use in many professional, and now, ministerially. Skip has also ministered on various movie, television, and modeling shoot sites as a minister as God opened those doors, which ultimately led him to a Chaplaincy as one of the first group of Chaplains to be commissioned through MFI (Media Fellowship Int'l.) - which he is still a Chaplain. Skip and Diane also served administratively and ministerially with Christian Broadcasting Network/The 700 Club as both admin staff as well as phone prayer counselors.

The vision for Kapena Wright Ministries is to constantly seek avenues and venues as we can to reach out and minister Healing, Deliverance and Salvation through Jesus Christ to as many people as we can with the Gospel.
A few of the vehicles which we are working on a daily basis to help us accomplish this are :

- increased ministry outreach via: Screenplay Writing; Acting; and Productions; and any other vehicles which God chooses to open to us beyond our own imagine or thought.
- increased partnerships with ministries (churches; missions; etc.) throughout the U.S. & the world
- creating additional training/education online & in person (ministers training; discipleship; etc.)

Honestly, we are simply following the lead of the Holy Spirit in all that we do. Where we are headed is straight towards the Father, our Abba, God; where He is taking us is a journey that begins and ends with Him - at the beginning - in the center of all we do - with the goal of entering into eternity with Him in Jesus Christ and helping to bring as many people as we can with us.
We are reminded that not everyone who gets to heavens gate will be welcomed into heaven, but rather many who think they should be getting in will be turned away by the Lord Himself as they are told by our Lord Jesus, "..depart from me you workers of iniquity.."
Our mission is to KNOW our blessed Father, His Word, and His Spirit - not merely be acquainted with Him, but to truly KNOW Him, and that is what we work very hard to teach and train up any and all who visit our ministry and participate in our meetings and training.
In short, when you partner with Kapena Wright Ministries - you are not standing on soft, sandy ground, but on a ministry built on the Rock of Salvation - the Truth and Revelation Knowledge of God in Jesus Christ, filled and walking in the power of His precious Holy Spirit. Amen!
